American 'Palefaces' and 'Redskins' in Literature

In five pages this report discusses the 'pale face' or 'redskin' literature of the eighteenth and nineteenth century with the 'pale face' works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Henry James and the 'redskin' tales of Mark Twain and Walt Whitman are contrasted and compared.
