Civil Rights in the Late Nineteenth Century and the Abandonment of the Freed Men

The Compromise of 1877 is the focus of this six page research paper that involved a close election in which Republican Rutherford B. Hayes won the electoral college vote while Democrat Tilden won the popular vote and the ensuring House compromise involved concessions tht nullified the 14th and 15th Amendments and enforced Black subordination that continued until the 1960s.
