Environmental Intersections between Cultures and Modernism

9 page research paper that discusses how three specific examples of grassroots environmentalism fit a model outlined by Ghai and Vivian (1992). This model is applied to the history and politics of environmental degradation. This model zeroes in on the intersection between cultures and organized resistance to modern projects that negatively impact the environment. The experiences of the upper Rio Grande and the Wisconsin Chippewas are used as examples. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
