Legal Refugee Status
This paper explains the United Nations Convention of 1951 which addressed refugee status and asylum. The concern at the time was the large number of refugees after the War. The paper makes an argument to include gender-based persecution as a category for legal refugee status with examples. There are nineteen sources listed in the bibliography of this fifteen page paper.
