Major Female Characters in Mohicans and Van Winkle
Women had few meaty roles in early American literature. This report deals with Cora and Alice Munro from The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper and Dame Van Winkle from Washington Irving's Rip Van Winkle and how they showed women's invisibility in colonial society.This paper has five pages and only the primary sources are used.
