Opportunities for Women of Color in the American West
This 5 page paper argues that women of color had greater opporunities in the American West than elsewhere, but suggests that the opportunity had more to do with the West's developed economies and the fact that the West in general afforded greater opportunities than the East, than for any other reason. The writer uses the experiences of Fabiola Cabeza, Era Bell Thompson and the fictional character Lalu Nathoy to illustrate the opportunities under discussion.
